New Book Coming Along

I'm in the throws of writing my sixth novel that takes place in Fairview, NC. This lush valley is located at the Hickory Nut Gap just before Route 74 starts its climb into the Hickory Nut Gorge that runs through Bat Cave, Chimney Rock and Lake Lure. I'm loving researching this novel because this is an extraordinary farming community...past and present. I'm trying to write at least 500 words a day to make a May 1, 2011 deadline. My recently widowed heroine returns to the mountains with her daughter to resolve an injustice. One of the men who courts her feels there's something else she's seeking to resolve other than the stealing of the family farm by her brother.
